2012 salary: He signed a two-year, $2.725 million deal in August 2011. The 27-year-old is owed a $500,000 roster bonus March 23. He’s also scheduled to make $1.25 million next season. Skinny: To me, this is a no-brainer. Pollard was an outstanding under-the-radar signing and his sure tackling ability plus his physicality fit in perfectly with the Ravens’ defense. He also handled himself pretty well in coverage, which was said to be his big weakness. The Ravens have very little safety depth behind Pollard and Ed Reed as Haruki Nakamura and Tom Zbikowski are both free agents. The money that Pollard is due to make certainly isn’t out of line for a starting safety who was one of the Ravens’ most consistent players last season. He’ll be back.
