2012 salary: The soon-to-be 29-year-old signed a four-year, $14 million deal last July which included a $3.8 million signing bonus. He is due to make $2.5 million in 2012. Skinny: Carr was the Ravens best cornerback in 2010 so it wasn’t surprising for him to get the contract that he did. However, he struggled with injuries this past season and was surpassed on the depth chart by Lardarius Webb, Cary Williams and Jimmy Smith. Carr was even inactive for the Ravens’ playoff opener against the Houston Texans. Carr may still have some solid football ahead of him, but it will probably be elsewhere. The Ravens won’t pay $2.5 million for a reserve corner so the expectation is that Carr will be cut loose.
