“He did have a good game,” coach John Harbaugh said. “Sergio did a nice job on special teams. He was very solid, got off his blocks, covered kickoffs very solidly. The pass rush stuff, he didn’t really get on track. He was in that last drive, and I think he was playing a little more solid, kind of conservatively. He can definitely crank up that pass rush a little more.”
Harbaugh said Kindle has been improving in practice.
“He just has a better understanding now,” Harbaugh said. “I think in some ways, he started over a little bit from a football standpoint. He had been out for so long and then the injury maybe kind of had some effect. But he’s been working very hard, and he’s been studying very hard. And credit [outside linebackers coach] Ted Monachino [who] has done a great job with him, just some learning technique things that he has done with him – one-on-one type stuff. Also, [special teams coordinator] Jerry Rosburg has him out at practice every day, after practice doing extra stuff. So he’s made a lot of progress and we think he’s ready to play more and more.”
