Ravens kick returner and wide receiver Jacoby Jones is inactive for today's game against the Miami Dolphins, the fourth straight week he'll miss since spraining the medial collateral ligament in his right knee in the first game against the Denver Broncos.
The Ravens also scratched wide receiver Marlon Brown due to a strained hamstring, leaving them extremely shorthanded, with just three active players at the position: Torrey Smith, Tandon Doss and Deonte Thompson, who is returning from a concussion suffered last week.
Newly acquired offensive tackle Eugene Monroe is inactive and Bryant McKinnie will start at left tackle with Monroe still learning the playbook after officially joining the Ravens on Thursday and practicing two days following his trade from the Jacksonville Jaguars for fourth- and fifth-round draft picks.
A Pro Bowl selection last season who scored two touchdowns in Super Bowl XLVII, Jones was listed as questionable after practicing on a limited basis all week.
Thompson suffered a concussion against the Buffalo Bills on an illegal hit by former Ravens safety Jim Leonhard that drew a $15,750 fine for hitting a defenseless receiver in the head and neck area.
Starting cornerback Lardarius Webb is active after testing out his strained hamstring this morning. Webb told The Baltimore Sun on Friday that he was "feeling really good" and was upbeat about playing today.
The Ravens also deactivated nose tackle Terrence Cody (sprained left knee), defensive end Marcus Spears (knee), center Ryan Jensen (foot surgery) and offensive guard Jah Reid.
A third-round draft pick who started at the end of last season before injuring his toe and undergoing surgery, Reid has been inactive for all but one game this year.
