Wide receiver Lee Evans, who was inactive against the St. Louis Rams because of a left ankle injury, said that he is making definite progress, but not enough for him to say for sure that he'll be out there Sunday night against the New York Jets.
"Obviously, it feels better now but you can’t say it’s all the way back," said Evans who didn't participate in this morning's walk through. "We’re still going to take it one day at a time and be smart heading through this week and heading into the bye week. It’s not all my decision. Obviously, we’re just trying to do what’s best all the way around. Right now, it does feel better, having a little rest on it. It’s progress."
Safety Haruki Nakamura, who has a PCL injury in his right knee, is expected to miss about a month. However, Nakamura is hoping that he'll be back following the bye week. He hurt his knee while on the punt team Sunday.

"It doesn’t really bother me too much. It’s more of a frustrating injury," Nakamura said. "It was something that didn’t even need to happen. It was kind of a cheapshot. It had nothing to do with the play. We were 40 yards down the field and the guy pushed me in my back and my knee slammed on the turf."
Linebacker Dannell Ellerbe, who hurt his hamstring in the Rams game, did some light jogging today. He won't practice today and said that he'll be a game-time decisiom for Sunday.
Ravens coach John Harbaugh said that the Ravens' bye week coming after the Jets game, that could factor in who plays this Sunday. The team could decide to give certain players an extra week so they'll be ready for the Houston Texans game.
(UPDATE): The Ravens that were not practicing in the portion available to the media included Evans, Nakamura, Ellerbe, Jimmy Smith, David Reed, Cory Redding, Matt Birk and Ben Grubbs.
