Burfict took issue with a personal foul he was assessed for unnecessary roughness when he hit Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco after he scrambled out of bounds. He went on to complain that a coach pushed him after the play but didn't name a coach. However, a review of the game video doesn't support Burfict's allegation.
"He was still in bounds, he kept trying to go for yards," Burfict said. "I didn’t hit him aggressively. I put my helmet across the bow and made a clean play. The funny thing is, I was on their sideline, and I think it was the defensive coordinator, and he pushed me.
"I was thinking, ‘Come on, man. You should have a little more class than that.’ And I will try to turn that into the league.”
Burfict can be seen arguing with several Ravens as coach John Harbaugh holds back some of his players, but no pushing is evident from any coaches. Defensive coordinator Dean Pees is up in the coaches box during games.
Ravens wide receiver Torrey Smith got flagged for a personal foul earlier in the fourth quarter for pushing Burfict to the ground, retaliating after Burfict went after wide receiver Jacoby Jones following a play.
"Yes, I heard him allege it," Harbaugh said. "That's all I heard. I don't take too much stock in that stuff. I thought our guys did a great job conducting themselves in that game with great poise and great class in spite of some of the stuff that went on."
