Ravens cornerback Chykie Brown and rookie quarterback Keith Wenning have both endured some rough days since their arrival at training camp.
Brown has frequently been burnt for touchdowns by veteran wide receiver Steve Smith. And Wenning has thrown several interceptions when he's failed to read defenses quickly enough.
On Monday night at Navy Marine Corps-Memorial Stadium, both had arguably their best practices of the summer.

Brown intercepted a Joe Flacco pass that deflected off of tight end Dennis Pitta, and he celebrated the turnover by spinning the football much like how Smith has after beating him throughout camp. On the ensuing play, Brown batted down a pass meant for wide receiver Kamar Aiken.
"I think I had a good practice," Brown said. "I just have to stack those good days. I was running and got my eyes back. Joe was throwing to Dennis Pitta and it bounced off his hands and I got the ball. I just need to keep stacking these good days and have a better day the next practice."
Brown was briefly kicked out of practice Saturday when he dropped an interception and kicked the football in frustration. He then got into a brief scuffle with Smith.
"Chykie did have a nice night," Ravens coach John Harbaugh said Monday. "He did a great job. Chykie, in the last week, has really come on. He’s calmed down a little bit. He’s playing assignment and technique football, and really, at that position, you have to play with some patience, and he’s doing that.”
The Ravens' sixth-round draft pick from Ball State, Wenning had an excellent practice.
He delivered a sharp throw on a 60-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Deonte Thompson. He connected with subsequent completions to wide receivers LaQuan Williams and Jace Davis.
