The absence of Ed Dickson and Dennis Pitta from Thursday’s injury report suggest that the team’s top two tight ends will play fully in the Ravens’ regular-season opener against the Cincinnati Bengals on Monday night.

Dickson (sprained right shoulder) and Pitta (broken bone in right hand) suffered their respective injuries in the preseason and missed substantial time while rehabilitating. Despite their ailments, offensive coordinator Cam Cameron said Friday that the duo worked hard to keep pace with the rest of the offense.

“Both guys – and it’s a tribute to both of them – even though they’ve missed practices, they’re not missing meetings, they’re not missing any walkthroughs, they’re not missing any rehab or strength and conditioning,” Cameron said. “… I think [quarterback] Joe [Flacco] has such a great rapport with those guys. Not only are they together on the field, they’re around Joe all the time. So I’m thrilled to have them back, and I think they’ll pick up right where they left off with no concerns at all.”

The return of Dickson and Pitta could be crucial against the Bengals. Dickson caught three passes for 41 yards in two games last year, and Pitta led all receivers with six receptions for 62 yards and one touchdown in the second meeting.
