It was inevitable that return specialist Jacoby Jones' impact would be curtailed. Opposing special-teams coordinators aren't ignorant of his stellar season and account for Jones on every special-teams sequence. (Jones ranks first in the NFL with a 33.2 kickoff return average with three returns for touchdowns.) Lately, teams are angling their kicks to try to contain him. He had a 38-yard kickoff return against the Washington Redskins, but it will take that extra block for Jones to kick it into a higher gear and streak upfield for a touchdown. Jones is trying to keep punters and kickers off balance by moving around before the kick to make it difficult to get a bead on where he's lining up.
