Keeping three quarterbacks is something of a luxury. Painter has played solidly, completing 20 of 37 passes for 207 yards, four touchdowns and one interception, making a case to be retained. He has starting experience with the Colts, where he played for Ravens quarterbacks coach Jim Caldwell. If the Ravens find themselves in a bind, this could be a situation where Painter is the odd man out. How he performs against the Rams could be pivotal for his cause. |
