The Ravens really do have some good, young running backs on the roster in Damien Berry, Bernard Pierce (pictured), Bobby Rainey and Anthony Allen. It's really hard for any of them to separate themselves from each other in practice, so the preseason games will determine the No. 2 behind Ray Rice. Ideally, the Ravens would like Pierce to be the backup because he is a third-round pick out of Temple, while Allen was a seventh-round pick last season, and both Rainey and Berry were undrafted free agents as rookies. Pierce might have a slight lead because he appears to be a good receiver out of the backfield, but the Ravens have been impressed with all of them.
