Marshal Yanda is on the short list of most important Ravens You'll never see a guard as the Madden cover boy or the recipient of a $100 million contract. But the Ravens offense played at a whole different level with Yanda (pictured right) on the field, seeing his first game action after offseason rotator cuff surgery. It was no coincidence that the Ravens ran the best they have all preseason with Yanda at right guard for the first few series. Rice (pictured left) and Bernard Pierce both ripped off gains of more than 10 yards, bursting through holes opened by Yanda and Michael Oher. The Ravens quickly lost control of the line of scrimmage once Yanda ceded his spot to back-up Jah Reid. Yanda has made two Pro Bowls. He consistently grades as the best right guard in the league, according to the analysts at Pro Football Focus. Against the Panthers, he rapidly reminded Ravens fans why they should be so grateful to see him healthy.
