Ravens offensive tackle Eugene Monroe's five-year, $37.5 million contract carries a first-year, salary-cap figure of just $3.2 million, according to a league source.
That means the Ravens are now $15.237 million under the NFL salary-cap limit of $133 million. The figure includes the six exclusive-rights free agents tendered by the Ravens on Tuesday as well as linebacker Albert McClellan's two-year, $2.2 million contract extension that includes a $400,000 signing bonus, base salaries of $800,000 and $1 million and salary-cap figures of $1 million and $1.2 million.
This leaves the Ravens with plenty of spending power for other free agents.
Monroe, who got $19 million guaranteed and an $11 million signing bonus, has the following base salaries and salary cap figures:
Year Salary Salary Cap
2014 $1 million (fully guaranteed) $3.2 million
2015 $5.5 million (fully guaranteed) $7.7 million
2016 $6.5 million $8.7 million
2017 $6.75 million $8.95 million
2018 $$6.75 million $8.95 million.
