In the most tangible sign yet that he's making progress in his return from injury, Glen Davis shot baskets today for the first time since he hurt his left shoulder Dec. 19.
Davis did shooting drills with lead assistant coach James Borrego, with assistance from video analysts Matt Hill and Adam Glessner. Davis is naturally right-handed, but he took some hook shots with his left arm extended high above his head, as the video below makes clear.
The Magic have lost all seven of their games without Davis, a rugged power forward who is the team's most effective low-post defender and the team's second-leading scorer.
Davis still hasn't had any contact since his injury, and it's unclear when he'll be back on the floor in a game.
