Mike Preston grades the Ravens' 33-14 win over the New York Giants
|
Quarterback: A-
Joe Flacco got off to a fast start and it seemed to help his confidence. For the first time in recent weeks, the Ravens attacked the middle of the field and Flacco caught the Giants in several blitzes.

Flaccid played well, but an A? No. Why don't we see Preston give out intermediate grades? Last week was an undeserved F. This week, Flacco played reasonably well. But a grade higher than a B seems unwarranted. It's like Preston think ls the whole victory or loss rides on Joe's shoulders. No. There are lots of others on the team. The five year playoff streak should be proof of this.
I think he had a lot of articles to write balanced in with rushing out for some last minute Christmas shopping along with his usual bias, and love for stirring the pot, bet he makes a mean pot of soup.
On one hand he gives Joe an A- and says he was bailed out by the receivers then, he gives the receivers a lower grade than Joe.
He gives the running backs a B+? They had 224 yards of rushing and we had 309 yards of passing.
Don't be such a grinch Mike.
