Wide receiver Lee Evans
The Ravens have been begging for a play-making receiver, and Evans finally answered their prayers. He beat Washington's DeAngelo Hall on a go-pattern — though not by much — for a nice 35-yard touchdown pass in the second quarter. He is everything he was supposed to be, and he's still learning the offense.
Running back Ricky Williams
It's good Williams isn't fighting for a job right now. His preseason production has been minimal. Through Thursday's first half, he rushed 9 times for 25 yards and caught 2 passes for 1 yard. He did pick up a blitz in the first quarter, though, which was his saving grace.
Strong safety Bernard Pollard
Pollard is not going to be messed with. He had his helmet yanked off after an extra point in the game's opening minutes and tangled with the Redskins' Trent Williams. It turned into a rugby scrum, and apparently no punches were thrown, but Pollard brings a real physical presence to the Ravens.Copyright © 2015, The Baltimore Sun
