Bam Morris( John Makely / Baltimore Sun / September 22, 1997 )
Incident: The troubled running back, shown at a September 1997 news conference, battled drug abuse and had several brushes with the law, including being charged with second-degree assault of a woman while he was at a birthday party for a teammate at Martin's West in Woodlawn in November 1997.
Result: Morris served a four-game suspension for violating the league's substance-abuse policy in 1997 and was released after the season. Substance abuse and legal problems derailed his career after six NFL seasons, and persisted through his post-playing career.
