Mike Preston grades the Ravens' 20-13 win over the Texans

Quarterback: C
Joe Flacco had decent numbers and some good passes that were dropped. But his pocket awareness was poor, and sometimes he just needs to take off and run.

You reinforce the point. Yes, there is a double standard, but not the one you think.
It doesn't look like you read what I said, much less read the Greenbay press quote. The point is our receivers have been inconsistent, they drop a lot of passes, it cost us last year in the playoffs and it has cost us this year.
Yes, receivers can, and do drop balls and QB's can and do make bad passes. We have held the receivers to a lower standard than Flacco. Greenbay's press won't put up with it, they call it out.
We may hear a commentator say "that was a perfectly thrown ball by Flacco to Smith, Dickson, etc. AT THE TIME IT OCCURS BUT BY THE END OF THE GAME IT IS ALL PUT ON FLACCO BY EVERYONE. Preston gives Joe a C and the recievers a B?? SURPRISE.
There isn't a dropped ball stat discussed here after the game BUT THEY SURE FOLLOW IT IN GREENBAY.
Boldins types of catches Sunday are what we should be doing every game. They are NOT out of the ordinary, when you look at G.B, N.E, N.O., they are routine plays there, they throw it up there and their receivers catch it. These routine NFL/College catches do NOT "make up for all the drops", as you put it. I'm sure that is why you responded.
They all need to step it up on offense. Without the blatant drops we have a completely different game against Houston, last year etc. Hope we get it ALL together this week.
To michaeldnoon, Okay let me get this straight in my head. Your the quarterback of a football team worth a little less than a billion dollars. Your not performing well with your offensive coordinator, but have performed well enough in the past to be considered by all subjective standards a pretty good quarterback. You have special coaches for lineman, db's, kickers, and even T Sizzle, but NO, our young quarterback needs to MAN UP. Are you kidding me. Whatever it takes to be succesful should be this teams only concern. Not some macho grow up or get out rant. It's very easy to second guess coaching decisions. But it's also a fact that his numbers and effectiveness have gone down with theoretically a better line, a better fullback, and a better crop of receivers. Our quarterback apparently needs a quarterback coach/mentor, and Cam is not the man for the task.

Like I said before...Preston is a mule! A total assclown.
Someone needs to replace this fool...He has hardly ever been right about anything when it comes to football, and his racism is obvious. If he had it his way, we would be going with Troy Smith...and LOSING.
