Where does Ravens defensive coordinator Chuck Pagano start? The Ravens will obviously try to contain the Patriots' prolific tight end duo of Rob Gronkowski who had 17 receiving touchdowns during the regular season and three more last week, and Hernandez. However, they also have to game plan for wide receivers Wes Welker (122 catches for 1,569 yards) and Deion Branch (51 catches, shown at left). As Ed Reed (right) pointed out this week, Brady will throw to anyone and he showed that during the regular season as he amassed 5,235 passing yards and 39 touchdowns compared to just 12 interceptions. Brady hasn't had any huge days in his career against the Ravens, being held under 260 yards passing in four of five meetings and throwing as many touchdowns (six) as interceptions. A big reason for that is the Ravens have been able to generate pressure on him. Ravens linebacker Terrell Suggs, who led the AFC with 14 sacks during the regular season, has gotten Brady down in each of the past three meetings. Expect Pagano to give Brady a variety of different looks and be much more aggressive with his play-calling than he was last week against Houston. EDGE: PATRIOTS |
