NFL players on Forbes' list of world's 100 highest-paid athletes
Forbes published its list of the 100 Highest-Paid Athletes on June 18, and there are more professional football players on the list (30) than any other sport.
According to Forbes, "these earnings figures include salaries, bonuses, prize money, appearance fees, as well as licensing and endorsement income for the 12 months between June 2011 and June 2012."
Here are the highest-paid NFL players, in order, with their total earnings for that time period. (The number to the left of their name is their overall ranking in the top 100 athletes.)
