Secondary coach Teryl Austin made major improvements. The Ravens had communication problems at the end of the season, but they were nowhere near as bad as in the opener against the Denver Broncos. Jimmy Smith became a quality cornerback and if he develops ball awareness skills, he could become one of the best in the NFL. Lardarius Webb shook off the rust from major knee surgery, and became a top performer around midseason. Corey Graham made several big plays late in the season, which he has done for the past two years. The Ravens need to come up with a plan because they have two strong safeties in Matt Elam and James Ihedigbo. Elam struggles in tackling because he wants to blow up the player instead of getting into good position. Ihedigbo was one of the few Ravens who could turn momentum with a hard tackle.
