The players are off Tuesday as well, and had a light workout Monday.
"They were here in great spirits, had a good attitude and were excited to go to work," coach John Harbaugh said. "We had a real good day, not a full day, a little more than half a day."
Cornerback Lardarius Webb, who has been dealing with soreness in his right knee, said he expected to participate fully Wednesday.
"It was good for the whole team," Webb said. "We needed those days with all the games we had. It was well-deserved. We came out and got a good little practice in. The guys were moving around excellent like we were off for months."
Brigance turns 43
Former Ravens linebacker O.J. Brigance, the team's senior advisor to player development, celebrated his 43rd birthday Monday five years after being diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis also known as Lou Gehrig's Disease.
Ravens players and coaches, including Harbaugh, Reed and middle linebacker Ray Lewis, sang "Happy Birthday" to Brigance in the team cafeteria.
Brigance, who frequently provides inspirational messages and advice to players and coaches, addressed the team. The former NFL and CFL player created a foundation to assist ALS research called the Brigance Brigade.
Strong safety Bernard Pollard was elected the Ravens' player union representative, according to NFL Players Association spokesman Carl Francis. ... Former Ravens cornerback Chris Carr has agreed to terms with the San Diego Chargers after trying out recently for the New York Jets, according to his agent, Buddy Baker. ... Harbaugh congratulated the Orioles for qualifying for the playoffs. "We'll be pulling for them," Harbaugh said. Webb attended the Orioles' win over the Boston Rex Sox on Saturday at Camden Yards. "The Birds be acting up," Webb said with a laugh. "They're having a great season, wonderful. They have a complete team."
