HARBOR SPRINGS — The Harbor Springs High School ski teams made it a clean sweep on the slopes Wednesday.
The Rams swept the Lake Michigan Confernece championships at Boyne Highlands to complete a solid league season for both teams.
The Harbor boys finished first with 38 points, while Elk Rapids-T.C. St. Francis was second, 82; followed by Grayling, 95; Boyne City, 103; and Charlevoix-East Jordan, 120.
In the girls meet, Harbor Springs placed first with 27 points, followed by Elk Rapids-T.C. St. Francis, 65; Boyne City, 127; Grayling, 144; and Charlevoix-East Jrodan, 154.
In the final league team standings for both the girls and boys, Harbor Springs placed first, followed by Elk Rapids-T.C. St. Francis, Boyne City, Grayling and Charlevoix-East Jordan.
For the Harbor boys, Shea Fuhrman won both the giant slalom, 1 minute, .17 seconds, and the slalom, 1:14.70; while Abigail Hackman of Harbor Springs won the slalom in 1:17.34, while Elk Rapids-St. Francis’ Carlee McCardel won the girls GS, 1:00.30.
Also for the Harbor boys, Forrest Lundgren was runner-up in both slalom and GS, while John Bailey was third in slalom, 30th GS, Nick Mogford, fourth GS, 31st slalom; Matthew Fought, sixth GS, 31st slalom; Ben Keller, 19th slalom and Ben Postma, 21st GS.
For the Harbor girls, Rose Pellegrom was runner-up in both slalom and GS, while Hackman was third in GS. Also for the Ram girls, Tia Esposito was third in slalom, fourth GS; Meg Shepherd was sixth in slalom, eighth GS; Claire Cunningham, sixth GS; Sydney Elkins, seventh GS; Demi Trabucchi, eighth slalom; Sadie Cwikel, ninth slalom.
The Boyne City boys were paced by Corey Bohnet who was a team-best seventh in both slalom and GS, while Kory Skop was eighth in both slalom and GS. Also for the Rambler boys, Max Cuper was 13th slalom, 14th GS; Elliot Crouch, 23rd slalom, 28th GS; Spencer Brinkley, 23rd GS, 26th slalom; and John Paul Coopersmith, 24th GS, 31st slalom.
For the Boyne City girls, Abby Bohnet was 10th in slalom, 16th GS; followed by Meredith Hague, 12th slalom, 14th GS; Lauren Richards, 18th slalom, 21st GS; Mary Anderson, 19th slalom, 21st GS; Paige Hornbeck, 18th GS, 31st slalom; and Emilee Evans, 20th slalom, 20th GS.
Casey Keane led the Charlevoix-East Jordan girls as she was a team-best seventh in slalom and ninth in GS. Also for Charlevoix-East Jordan girls, Cora Taylor was 12th GS, 14th slalom; Ashlee Mumich, 25th slalom, 25th GS; and Santoso Kirana, 31st slalom; 31st GS.
For the Charlevoix-East Jordan boys, Brandon Cardwell was a team-best third in GS, 18th slalom; while Erik Oshaben was 10th in slalom, 10th GS. Also for the Charlevoix-East Jordan boys, Gabe Hawley was 14th slalom, 22nd GS; Jonathon Lindfors, 17th slalom, 26th GS; Nathan Lindfors, 22nd slalom, 27th GS; and Tylor Engstrom, 24th slalom, 29th GS.
Boyne City, Charlevoix-East Jordan and Harbor Springs will all compete in the Division II regional meet on Monday, Feb. 11 at Boyne Mountain.
