Fishing fair

Saturday, June 1: The Maryland Trout Unlimited's Spring Picnic and Fishing Fair will be from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the Bunker Hill Area of Gunpowder State Park. Bring a covered dish. There will be workshops, including casting instruction, vendors, gear swap and more. Hot dogs, sodas and bluegrass music will be provided by MDTU. The family-oriented event is open to nonmembers.

Youth fishing seminar

June 29: Capt. Luke Thatcher will lead a session focused on fishing aboard the Miss Chesapeake as part of the Maryland Saltwater Sportfishing Association's youth fishing seminar series. Boater safety

Through August: The Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum in St.Michaels is offering two-evening boater safety courses from 6 p.m. to 10p.m. June 12-13, July 17-18 and Aug.15-16. Vingt-neuf archery

Decoy exhibit

Through Nov. 3: "Crisfield Carvings — Bird Hunting on Broad Waters" will be on display daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Waterfowling Building at the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum at Navy Point in St. Michaels.
