Indigo Bunting

After 40 some years of nature photography an Indigo Bunting built a nest where I may get some photographs. 3 babies in the nest, out comes the D300 and 500 mm lens this evening.

Three years back, I mistakenly ran over a baby bird who fell from its nest with the lawn mower. Both the momma and daddy bird started harrassing me with very aggressive dive bombs that would start whenever we left the house. They seemed to be on guard and ready to taxi the runway 24-7. Anyone else shooting their bows yet?...I have been for about 2 weeks now(shooting regularly that is) A guy is bringing his bow by the house tonight to have it tuned and shot through the chronograph. When guys start tuning up the equipment that's a good sign its getting closer!!

alaska fishing report

Kings very slow in coming....it's been a slow spring, water is low. lakes are thawed and trout/grayling fishing is awesome, thousands of lakes up here. salt water fishing is good, will get hotter as salmon near their spawning rivers. Great time to be in AK! :)
