Peter Schmuck's Orioles midseason report card
Yes, we know that the 2014 season is well past its mathematical halfway point.
The Orioles have played 94 games, but the All-Star break still is considered the traditional midpoint in the season, so if you want to project anyone's midseason stats over a full 162-game season, you'll just have to multiply that player's quantitative stats by a factor of 1.72.
While you try to do that in your head, here's The Baltimore Sun's 2014 Orioles midseason report card. Keep in mind that players are judged in the context of their own talent level and role on the team.

Chris Tillman -- C+( Algerina Perna, Baltimore Sun / June 15, 2014 )
There are times when Tillman will drive you crazy with his inconsistency, then wow you with a string of performances that have "ace" written all over them. Tillman is on one of those rolls right now, but he didn't receive any help in another solid outing Saturday. He has given up three runs or fewer in each of his last seven starts, but he is just 2-3 in those games. His 4.00-plus ERA isn't ace material, but it has been inflated by a pair of one-inning starts in which he surrendered a total of 13 earned runs. In other words, he's better than his ERA but needs to continue to prove it. Grade: C+
