TRIPLE-A NORFOLK

In his Triple-A debut Thursday, RHP Tyler Wilson gave up one run and eight hits in six innings. He struck out four batters and walked four. Wilson was 10-5 with a 3.72 ERA for Double-A Bowie before his promotion. … IF Buck Britton was 4-for-5 with a double, an RBI and a run scored in the Tides' 7-2 win over Charlotte on Friday. IF Steve Lombardozzi (Atholton) added three RBIs in the game. … IF Ivan De Jesus Jr. was 4-for-5 with an RBI double and two runs scored Tuesday. He was named to the International League All-Star team Wednesday. … Through Friday, the Tides ranked last in the 14-team International League with a 4.97 ERA.

OF Dariel Alvarez hit a go-ahead grand slam in the top of the ninth inning Friday as the Baysox beat Akron, 5-2. He had a three-run home run Thursday in a 6-3 loss to Altoona. Through Friday, Alvarez was batting .312 with 14 home runs and 65 RBIs. … LHP Eduardo Rodriguez allowed two runs (one earned) and five hits in six innings Friday. He had seven strikeouts and walked two hitters. … RHP Oliver Drake retired all three batters he faced Friday for his Eastern League-leading 21st save. … The Baysox led the Eastern League in total bases (1237) heading into Saturday, but they ranked last in the 12-team league in stolen bases (29) and attempts (46).

In the next step in his recovery from Tommy John elbow ligament reconstruction surgery, RHP Dylan Bundy gave up three runs and four hits in 42/3 innings Friday. … RHP Jimmy Yacabonis gave up four runs, three hits and two walks in 11/3 innings Friday. Through that outing, Yacabonis had allowed 13 runs, 11 hits and eight walks in 52/3 innings (20.65 ERA) since his promotion to the Keys on June 19. He only allowed three runs in 251/3 innings (1.07 ERA) for Low-A Delmarva earlier this year. … Keys pitchers ranked last in the eight-team Carolina League in strikeouts (557) through Friday, and they had allowed the most home runs in the league (58).

OF Gregory Lorenzo led the Shorebirds to a season-high 17 runs Friday against Lakewood. He was 4-for-5 with two triples, five RBIs and two runs scored. C/DH Chance Sisco added his fourth home run of the season, three runs scored and four RBIs, while 1B Creede Simpson and 3B Drew Dosch each scored three times in the 17-5 win. … Through Friday, Sisco ranked second in the South Atlantic League with a .338 batting average. … LHP Steven Brault allowed 11 runs and 17 hits in 101/3 innings over his past two starts, but he struck out 15 hitters and walked one in the two losses. … OF Conor Bierfeldt had back-to-back three-hit games Wednesday and Thursday.

OF Jay Gonzalez, the Orioles' 10th-round pick last month, was 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored in the IronBirds' 3-2 victory over Brooklyn on Friday. In four games from Sunday through Friday, Gonzalez batted .667 (10-for-15) with three doubles, five runs scored and two RBIs. … LHP Stephen Tarpley, the Orioles' 2013 third-round selection, has allowed 14 runs (13 earned) and 22 hits in 142/3 innings. … Through Friday, the IronBirds had scored 44 runs in 20 games this season. State College led the 14-team New York-Penn League with 122 runs in 21 games, and Brooklyn was next-to-last in the league with 72. … IronBirds pitchers ranked second in the league with 181 strikeouts heading into Saturday.
