What can the Orioles do to upgrade their offense?

If you live by the home run, you die by the home run. The Orioles hit the second most in baseball in 2012. They hit three -- all solo shots -- while scoring just 15 runs in six postseason games. |

There are many teams out there looking for a shortstop and a package of him and some young pitchers would help us get a very good 3rd baseman. Then you can move manny to shortstop to begin his wonderful career. You have to trade guy's while they have value something the orioles haven't done in the past.
One the few unfullfilled goals Danduqette gave for the 2012 squad was to get a high average/on-base-percentage player. I think we have enough sluggers on the team right now, what we need is someone who can get on base consistently.

Personally I think the Orioles would be crazy not to bring Saunders and McLouth back. Mr. Pansy Pants Reimold will be injured by the end of the first week of 2013 and out for the year for an abcess on his tongue or something. I think they should dump him. Put McLouth in left full time as he deserves it. That's an easy one. Saunders on the other hand just plain deserves a 3 year extension. He was tough and showed what he can do. Sign him as well. But as far as top free agents are concerned I am inclined to agree with Duquette and the teams needs to grow their own through astute drafts and trades. Buying top free agents are what the Red Sux and Skanks do....and look at where they either are or are heading.
