FORT MYERS, Fla. -- Here are some notes from today’s pregame session with Orioles manager Buck Showalter:

** Showalter is expected to make five to six cuts after the Orioles' afternoon game here. They likely will be announced before the club’s split-squad game tonight.

The Orioles currently have 40 players in camp, including six nonroster players. They need to get down to 25 by Sunday at 5 p.m.

** Left-hander Johan Santana (shoulder) throws from a full mound tomorrow. It’s the first time the veteran has done that since shoulder surgery last year.

** Right-hander Dylan Bundy (elbow) has now progressed to throwing from a half-mound. He previously has been throwing from flat ground.

** Infielder Buck Britton is listed as a reserve for both of the split-squad games today. He is the only one with that potential daily double.

** Right-hander Suk-min Yoon will pitch for the Orioles in their exhibition game against the Triple-A Norfolk Tides on Saturday in Virginia. He will join prospect Mike Wright in representing the Orioles, who are not expected to have any big leaguers pitch in the game.
