Like Chen, Driskill survived on heart and an intense love for the game. He debuted as a 30-year-old rookie for the Orioles in 2002 and won his first five decisions. He won five more games the rest of his intermittent big league career, which ended in 2007. Prior to last season, he was a pitching coach in the Houston Astros organization. Affable and only 41, it wouldn't be a surprise if he pays his dues again and ends up back in the majors, this time as a pitching or bullpen coach.
