Single-game tickets for the Orioles' upcoming season officially will go on sale Saturday, but some fans can purchase tickets starting Wednesday morning as part of a presale opportunity.
The Orioles sent an email Monday saying that subscribers to the Orioles.com email newsletter will have "an exclusive opportunity" to purchase single-game tickets from 10 a.m. Wednesday until 11:59 p.m. Thursday with a special password that was included in the email.
Tickets will be available during the presale for all games except Opening Day, according to the email.
The team will begin selling tickets for the 2014 season at the team's annual FanFest event at the Baltimore Convention Center -- and at the Camden Yards box office, on the phone, on the website and at the team store in York, Pa. -- on Saturday at 10 a.m.
The Orioles will implement a dynamic ticket-pricing system beginning this season.
There are five tiers of games -- value, classic, select, prime and elite -- in the new system. The prices of tickets for single games could fluctuate as the date approaches, rising or falling depending on the opponent, weather, promotions and other factors.
On the Orioles' team website, advanced individual game prices are listed for the five different tiers. The prices vary depending on the section and type of game.
For example, the starting price for field box and club box tickets -- the most expensive on the list -- range from $49 for value games to $95 for elite games. And left field upper reserve seats -- the cheapest -- range from $8 for value games to $18 for elite games.
