Orioles to hold tryout March 1 at noon to find ballboys and ballgirls

The Orioles will hold an open tryout March 1 in order to find ballboys and ballgirls for the upcoming season, the team announced Tuesday.

The event, which is scheduled to begin at noon, will take place at Camden Yards.

Judges will include members of the team's front office, former players and local media personalities, the team said.

The Orioles are looking for "outgoing and athletic men and women ages 18 and older" to fill the roles. It's also recommended that you bring a resume.

If you're interested in trying out, dress casually and bring your own glove to the Home Plate Plaza entrance at the ballpark. Complimentary parking will be available in Lot A.

In addition to being able to field ground balls, the team said interested candidates should be personable, customer service-oriented and available to work the entire 2014 season.
