Orioles blast four homers in 12-3 win over Phillies

Anchored by four homers -- including the first two of the spring for designated hitter Conor Jackson -- the Orioles took advantage of a strong wind blowing out in left field of Ed Smith Stadium in a 12-3 win over a Philadephia Phillies split-squad team Sunday afternoon.

Catcher Matt Wieters drove in five runs, including a three-run homer to left field in the first inning off Phillies starter Kyle Kendrick.

Jackson followed immediately with a blast to left-field to give the Orioles a quick 4-0 lead. He added a three-run homer in the Orioles' seven-run fifth inning.

Orioles starter Chris Tillman fell victim to a wind-aided two-run homer to left-center in the third inning, but otherwise allowed just two hits and struck out three in 2 2/3 innings of work.

Right-hander Miguel Gonzalez tossed two scoreless innings without allowing a hit, striking out two and walking one.

Right fielder Jason Pridie also homered for the Orioles, hitting his second spring homer -- a two-run shot -- in the fifth.
