Orioles prospects and minor leaguers playing in offseason leagues

Several of the Orioles' top prospects — including Jonathan Schoop, Eduardo Rodriguez and Henry Urrutia — will be playing this offseason in the Arizona Fall League, which begins play  Tuesday.

The Orioles prospects will play for the Surprise Saguaros, who will be managed by Double-A Bowie manager Gary Kendall. The regular season runs through Nov. 14.

Absent from the list is top pitching prospect Kevin Gausman. The Orioles considered sending Gausman to the Arizona Fall League for a couple starts to finish off his first full professional season, but he apparently isn’t going.

Several other Orioles minor leaguers will also be playing winter ball in Venezuela, the Dominican Republic, Mexico and Australia.

The Orioles will also hold an instructional league in the Dominican Republic for six weeks starting Oct. 20. They will field two teams there made up of about 60 to 75 players.

Here is the most recent list of Orioles minor leaguers and prospects who are scheduled to play offseason ball along with their minor league stats from the 2013 season:
