The Orioles trailed the Twins, 6-0, after five innings in the opener of a three-game series before scoring nine unanswered runs to remain tied with the New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox in the American League East. Chris Davis had three of the Orioles' seven doubles in the come-from-behind victory, and Jim Johnson pitched a scoreless inning to lower his season ERA to 0.95. It was the last day of the season that the Orioles held at least a share of the division lead.
