'A Celebration of Earl' and doubleheader sweep (April 20)( Lloyd Fox, Baltimore Sun / April 20, 2013 )
In between games of a doubleheader against the Los Angeles Dodgers, the Orioles held a ceremony for longtime manager Earl Weaver, who died in January. The Orioles honored Weaver, who finished with a 1480-1060 (.583 winning percentage) record in 17 seasons as manager, by wearing a special patch with his No. 4 on the sleeve of their jerseys during the 2013 season. In the doubleheader, the Orioles beat the Dodgers, 7-5, in the first game before cruising to a 6-1 victory in the second.
