The Orioles announced Wednesday that autograph vouchers for this year's FanFest event will go on sale Saturday at 10 a.m. on the team's website.
The team said the list of autograph times and participants will be posted on its website by 9 p.m. Friday. Orioles FanFest is scheduled for Feb. 1 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Baltimore Convention Center. Season-ticket holders can enter at 10 a.m.
Children ages 4-14 will have a specially designated player autograph station that is free of charge and will operate continuously throughout the day, the team said. All other autograph stations at FanFest will require the advance purchase of vouchers for $20 each.
All proceeds from the autograph vouchers will benefit children’s charities through OriolesREACH. Since instituting the autograph policy in 2011, FanFest has raised over $300,000 for the Orioles Charitable Foundation.
The team plans to sell 250 vouchers for each autograph session. For each voucher purchased, the Orioles said the fan will receive an autograph from each player at the designated station.
Fans will be able to print their vouchers at home and must present them to the attendant at the appropriate autograph session, which the team said will shorten the amount of wait time in lines. Fans must be in line for their autograph session no later than 30 minutes after the specific session begins, according to the team.
If vouchers are still available on the day of the event, they will be available for purchase at the Camden Yards box office or at the ticket sales location at FanFest.
If you'd like autographs, the team encourages you to purchase the vouchers in advance. There is a limit of two autograph vouchers per person, per session time, and fans redeeming autograph vouchers must be age 3 or older.
The autograph area for children will operate throughout the day in a free-flowing system, according to the Orioles. Players signing in this area will not be announced in advance.
The Orioles said they will try to keep the schedule for the other autograph stations the same as when it is announced, but they reserve the right to change or substitute as necessary.
