Yankees: The depth in the starting rotation makes this a formidable group. Only the Rangers' rotation had more wins, and only the Seattle Mariners logged more starters' innings. The rotation had a collective 4.05 ERA, better than the Orioles' 4.42 mark. But without the injured Mariano Rivera, the Yankees' bullpen hasn┬┐t been as dominant (3.43 ERA, seventh in the AL) as it has in past years. Orioles: The bullpen has earned all of its superlatives. The rotation gets one adjective: Fluctuating. A dozen pitchers have started at least two games for the Orioles, and only one pitcher has started more than 20 times for the club this season: Taiwanese rookie Wei-Yin Chen. The rotation would get a huge boost if Jason Hammel (8-6, 3.43 ERA), is healthy for this round. He hasn't pitched in a big league game since experiencing pain in his surgically repaired right knee Sept. 11. Edge: Yankees
