GAME 3 WAS A REAL KILLER,
O’S NEEDED IT BAD.
LED IN THE NINTH INNING,
ORIOLES FANS WERE GLAD.
BUT IBANEZ HIT THAT HOMER,
TIED THINGS UP AT LAST.
THEN IN THE 12TH INNING,
HE LAUNCHED A WINNING BLAST.
GAME 5 WAS MCLOUTH’S TURN,
HIS LONG BALL DIDN‘T STAY FAIR.
DESTINY WAS TELLING BALTIMORE,
A TITLE IS NOT YOURS TO BEAR.
SO THESE BIRDS ARE OUT OF THE PLAYOFFS,
THEY FOUGHT NEW YORK TOOTH & NAIL.
BUT FOR THEM THIS SEASON IS OVER,
THEIR POSTSEASON BOAT FINALLY HAS SAILED.
GOD BLESS
SONINO JOHN PAUL SCARDELLETTI - A CHRISTIAN
That was our chance and the season is over. Bases loaded one out and nothing. Our anemic offense with the inability to get the big hit proved to be out undoing. The better team won the series. Now for Dan & Buck to figure out how to upgrade our offense (not homers) next season. Better average (at least 20 to 25 points higher), better on-base percentage, half the strikeouts and more speed. We just proved that solid pitching in this series was not good enough. The pathetic offense was it.
Out managed, out performed, out phsyched, not much left to say. Better team wins!
