The knuckleball is one of the most unique elements in all of sports. It's revived the career of some pitchers and extended the career of others.
As Eduardo A. Encina writes about the Orioles' attempt to groom minor leaguers into knuckleballers, here's a glance at some of the notable names to have excelled with the fickle, fluttering pitch.

In his Hall of Fame career, Wilhelm pitched for 10 organizations from 1952-1972, going 143-122 with a 2.52 ERA and 1,610 strikeouts. He was a member of the Orioles from 1958-62, and his 124 wins as a reliever is still a major league record.
