In-Depth: Chris Davis

BIO: Orioles first baseman Chris Davis has captured the imagination of baseball fans in Baltimore and around the country with his potentially historic home-run pace. But Davis’ road to stardom was hardly smooth or straight.

He hit a career low when the Rangers left him off their playoff roster in 2010. That’s why the Longview, Texas native was jumping on his bed with excitement when he learned the Orioles had traded for him in 2011. Confident in his practice routines and secure in his faith and his family, a more relaxed Davis leads the majors in home runs and is on pace to shatter the Orioles’ single-season record. | Read more >>
