The Orioles are holding open tryouts for ballboys and ballgirls for the 2013 season March 9 at noon at Oriole Park at Camden Yards.
People trying out must be 18 or older and be "outgoing and athletic." Those interested should dress casually and bring their own gloves. Resumes are also recommended. They can use complimentary parking in Lot A of Camden Yards and enter the ballpark at the Home Plate Plaza entrance.
The tryout isn't intensive -- you won't have to prove you can turn a double play or anything -- but you should be able to field ground balls. Candidates should also be personable, customer-service oriented and able to work the entire 2013 season.
Judges for the tryouts will include members of the Orioles' front office, former Orioles catcher Chris Hoiles and MASN broadcaster Jim Hunter.
