Jake Arrieta’s rough stretch continued Friday with what was arguably his worst start of his career.

Arrieta lasted four innings and gave up a career-worst nine runs on a career-high 11 hits. He has now given up four runs or more in six of seven starts.

Dana Eveland came into relieve him in the fifth, meaning Eveland will not start Saturday’s game.

That spot start assignment will now fall to Tommy Hunter, who will have to be recalled from Triple-A Norfolk. That means the Orioles will have to make a roster move.

Arrieta is a prime candidate to be sent to the minors. He has a 9.37 ERA in his last seven starts.
