Infielder Alexi Casilla, who has been limited this spring to a right hamstring strain, was scratched from Friday’s lineup with a hyper-extended left knee. The Orioles weren’t immediately sure of the extent of the injury.

Casilla, a non-roster invitee who is battling to regain his utility infield spot, has played in just three games and is hitless in five at-bats.

Jonathan Schoop replaced Casilla at shortstop and will bat seventh. Quintin Berry and Michael Almanzar dropped to eighth and ninth in the lineup, respectively.

** Also scracthed from Friday's lineup is outfielder David Lough due to a stiff neck. It was a precautionary move. Xavier Paul batted first and started in right field in place of Lough. Henry Urrutia switched from right field to left.

** Catcher Matt Wieters, who rolled his ankle while running the bases on Tuesday, will not play until Monday, the earliest. Orioles manager Buck Showalter said he was told Wieters could play if this were the regular season, but the club is being careful with their starting catcher.

** Right fielder Nick Markakis is dealing with some shoulder tendinitis. He may be the club’s designated hitter on Saturday instead of playing in the field.

** Center fielder Adam Jones is expected to join the team Saturday after he was in Baltimore for the birth of his first child, a boy. Jones probably won’t play until Monday – Sunday is a road trip to Dunedin, Fla.

** Right-hander Suk-min Yoon will pitch one or two innings in his debut for the Orioles on Saturday, Showalter said.

** Lefty Brian Matusz, who had a wart removed Thursday, has re-joined the team.
