Two Orioles minor leaguers have received a weekly honor from their respective leagues, their teams announced Monday.

Double-A Bowie first baseman Christian Walker has been selected as the Eastern League Player of the Week for the second time this season, while High-A Frederick right-hander Parker Bridwell was named the Carolina League Pitcher of the Week.

Walker, 23, batted .458 (11-for-24) with two home runs and six RBIs in six games during the week. He also had three doubles and five runs scored in that span.

Walker, who is batting .325 in 41 games for the Baysox this season, leads the Eastern League in RBIs (33) and is tied for second in home runs (nine).

The Orioles selected Walker in the fourth round of the 2012 major league first-year player draft out of South Carolina. He batted .300 with 11 home runs, 56 RBIs and 27 doubles in 103 games split between Low-A Delmarva, Frederick and Bowie last season.

The Eastern League also named Walker as its Player of the Week in the week ending April 20.

Bridwell, 22, lost a no-hitter with one out in the ninth inning Tuesday against the Potomac Nationals. He only allowed the one hit and two walks while striking out a season-high eight batters in a career-high 8 1/3 innings pitched as the Keys won, 7-0.

Overall, Bridwell is 1-5 with a 5.61 ERA in eight starts for Frederick this season. The Orioles picked him in the ninth round of the 2010 draft out of Hereford (Texas) High School.
