10. Rafael Palmeiro, 1996

Stats: .289/.381/.546. 39 HRs, 110 runs, 142 RBIs. 4.5 WAR, 4.3 oWAR, .387 wOBA. Skinny: Considered the greatest free-agent signing in club history, Palmeiro had five excellent seasons from 1994 to 1998, but none was better than 1996. He took advantage of batting behind Anderson and Alomar to break Gentile's RBI record. He fell one homer short of a 40-double, 40-homer season and finished sixth in the MVP voting.
