The former Rangers slugger agreed to a three-year, $39 million contract with the Red Sox in December, but a degenerative hip condition -- the same one that ended Bo Jackson's career -- led to the sides actually signing a one-year, $5 million pact. That means Napoli comes with a bit of a risk, but he could end up being a bargain. (His deal does reportedly include some strong performance bonuses.) He's hit at least 20 homers in each of the past five seasons.
