C Chris Snyder
2013 statistics: .100/.250/.100, 1 RBI in nine games for the Orioles; .243/.305/.387, 6 HRs, 24 RBIs in 52 games at Triple-A Norfolk
Skinny: The Orioles obtained Snyder in April as part of a minor league deal with the Los Angeles Angels, and he spent most of the year at Triple-A Norfolk. The Orioles don't have an established backup to Matt Wieters, so they may look for a veteran catcher to battle with Clevenger this spring. Given his professional attitude, they wouldn't mind having Snyder in the mix again. But if he is looking for more playing time in the major leagues, Baltimore isn't a good fit.
Connolly's take: He'll probably have to settle for a minor league deal and, in that case, he'll likely go somewhere with a clearer path to playing time in the major leagues.
