( Sun photo by Karl Merton Ferron / June 16, 1997 ) The Orioles drafted catcher Jayson Werth out of Glenwood (Ill.) High with the 22nd overall pick in the 1997 draft. They traded him to Toronto in 2000, and he made his major league debut with the Blue Jays in 2002. Werth, who became an outfielder, was dealt to the Dodgers in 2004 and signed with the Phillies before the 2007 season. |
