In a revamped bullpen, is Tommy Hunter ready to assume the closer's role, if needed?

This will be the Orioles' first glance at relievers Ryan Webb and Brad Brach, a pair of offseason acquisitions. But all eyes will be on Hunter, who is the favorite to replace traded closer Jim Johnson if the Orioles choose to go with an internal candidate -- which looks more likely by the day. As an arbitration-eligible player, Hunter is coming to the minicamp on his own. And while there were doubts about whether Hunter would embrace the closer role, he texted Showalter last month and told him he was ready, if needed.
